SEO Best Practice: Sitemap to IndexNow Auto Submission

When you publish a batch of pages, migrate content, or update many articles, extract URLs from your sitemap first, then paste them here for a clean and transparent IndexNow notification workflow.

Open Sitemap Extractor

1. Extract URLs

Open the Sitemap URL Extractor, enter a sitemap.xml URL or paste XML, and extract the pages you want search engines to revisit.

2. Clean the list

Remove pages that should not be indexed, such as filter pages, test pages, duplicates, or legacy protocol URLs. Keep one host per submission.

3. Paste and submit

Copy the cleaned URLs, paste one per line here, confirm the key file is reachable, then submit. 200/202 means the request was received.

SEO Scenarios for IndexNow Auto Submission

IndexNow is a change notification, not a ranking guarantee. Confirm pages are accessible, canonicalized correctly, and free of noindex before submitting URLs.

New page launch

Submit article, product, or landing-page URLs right after launch so search engines can discover new content sooner.

Bulk content updates

After updating titles, copy, prices, inventory, or structured data, submit changed URLs instead of waiting for natural recrawls.

Deletes and migrations

After deletes, 301 migrations, or directory restructures, submit affected URLs to help search engines understand site changes faster.

IndexNow Auto Submitter Help, Examples, and FAQ

Usage Guide

IndexNow auto submission lets you notify compatible search engines when pages are added, updated, or deleted. It is useful for SEO indexing notifications, bulk URL submission, and post-migration change discovery. Before submitting, generate a key and host a UTF-8 {key}.txt file at the site root with the same key as its content. If the key file lives elsewhere, include keyLocation. URLs in one request should belong to the same host; this tool builds the IndexNow JSON payload with host, key, optional keyLocation, and urlList, then submits it to the selected endpoint.

Examples

  • After publishing a new article, submit its URL so search engines can discover the new page sooner.
  • After a batch product, pricing, or inventory update, paste one same-domain URL per line and submit them to IndexNow and Bing.
  • When the key file is scoped to a subdirectory, provide keyLocation and submit URLs covered by that path.

FAQ

  • Does success mean the page is indexed? No. A 200 response only means the search engine received the request.
  • Why do I get 403? The key file may be missing, unreachable, or may not contain the submitted key.
  • When should I auto submit URLs? Use it after publishing new pages, important content updates, deletes, URL migrations, or sitemap refreshes.
  • Is my key stored? Not by default. It is saved only in this browser when you click “Save key,” then it can be selected next time.
  • Can I mix domains? Split them into separate submissions. Batch IndexNow requests are host-scoped.
