Privacy Policy
1. How Tools Process Data
GoTools uses different processing methods depending on the feature. Text and data tools such as JSON, JWT, Base64, regex, timestamps, and password generation process inputs in your browser. Website inspection and IndexNow features require limited server requests.
- Text and data tools
- Formatting, encoding, decoding, validation, and generation happen in your current browser. These inputs are not sent to GoTools servers.
- Website inspection and sitemap extraction
- When you run a check, your browser sends the public domain, file URL, or sitemap XML you explicitly provide to a GoTools server. The server requests only the relevant public site files and required redirects or child sitemaps. Do not submit private-network addresses, credential-bearing URLs, or secrets and personal data in query strings.
- IndexNow submission
- On submission, the target URLs, IndexNow key, optional key location, and selected endpoint are sent to a GoTools server and forwarded to the IndexNow API or Bing IndexNow. Saved keys and notes remain in your current browser; the application does not write submission contents to a business database.
- Analytics, preferences, and technical logs
- Language, theme, and saved IndexNow keys are stored locally in your browser. Google Analytics, Cloudflare, and hosting infrastructure may process technical information such as page visits, device and network data, and security events under their own policies.
2. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Essential Cookies: To remember your preferences (e.g., language selection: English/Chinese).
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4, ID: G-7X6P709CX4) to collect anonymous usage statistics including page views and tool usage. This helps us understand which tools are most popular and improve the service. Google Analytics may use cookies to recognize returning visitors.
- Cookie Consent: On your first visit, a cookie consent banner is displayed. You can clear or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings.
3. Third-Party Services
This site integrates the following third-party services:
- Google Analytics (GA4): Used for anonymous traffic analysis and usage statistics. Google may process collected data in accordance with its privacy policy.
- Cloudflare: Used for content delivery, security protection, and DDoS mitigation. Cloudflare may collect necessary technical data to provide these services.
You can manage or disable third-party cookies through your browser settings. We recommend reviewing the Google Privacy Policy for more information.
4. Data Security
We employ reasonable technical measures to protect information transmitted through our site. For browser-local tools, sensitive inputs such as passwords, JWT secrets, and API responses do not leave your device. Website inspection and submission tools transmit only the data you explicitly provide for that operation.
GoTools application code does not intentionally write tool inputs to a business database. Cloudflare, the hosting platform, and other infrastructure providers may process request metadata or short-lived technical logs for security, troubleshooting, and service operation.
We use HTTPS encryption for all web traffic and Cloudflare for content delivery and security protection.
5. Your Rights
Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings
- Opt out of Google Analytics tracking (e.g., via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on)
- Contact us regarding privacy concerns through our Contact page
6. Policy Updates
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. For significant changes, we will notify you through a site announcement. We recommend checking this page periodically for the latest information.
